For Schools - For Students: Day Program

High Ropes

Program Description

This is a great program for students and faculty.  The morning starts off with an introduction and a series of "Ice Breakers" to get the group, relaxed engaged, and briefed for the day.  The group will be split into sub groups and rotate through two activity sets designed to create energy and get the group working together as a team.  The day will end with a group debrief to enable the individuals to share experiences and for our facilitators to help relate them to their lives at school.

Field Games and Initiatives

The group will rotate through a circuit of activity stations designed to encourage communication, information sharing and team work.  Each group will participate in a short debrief to share ideas and experiences after each activity.

Sample Activities:

  • Pipeline
  • Nuclear Fence
  • Acid River
  • Stepping Stones
  • Traffic Jam
  • Mass Pass
  • Spider's Web
  • Big Foot
  • Key Punch

Raft Building

Teams are challenged to construct a raft that will support their entire team from various materials.  Successful teams share ideas, establish a plan, identify a work process, communicate clearly and work together to execute their plan.  Once each raft is completed our staff conducts a safety check to clear it for launching.  Once all rafts are safety checked the group receives paddling instructions and don personal flotation devices.  Teams then board their rafts and learn to work together to maneuver their crafts around a course.  Each team's voyage through the course is timed and the winning team is recognized.
