Welcome to the Mountain Workshop!

The world has changed so much since those seemingly endless summers of stick ball, trading cards, bike riding around the neighborhood and "wilderness camping" in my parent's backyard on Long Island back in the 70's.

Kids these days seem to spend most of their non-school time inside, in front of computers and televisions, or in cars on their madcapped schedules of after-school activities. Many of us parents worry that as a result they will never have time to enjoy the very simple pleasures of living in a naturally beautiful place like Southern New England,

The mission of our Awesome Adventures series is to break that pattern of intinerant madness and replace it with some of the simple, but rich outdoor experiences of years gone by.

Awesome Adventures is about spending time with old and new friends oustside, gaining confidence, expanding intellectual and physical limits, experiencing and appreciating nature first hand, maybe just a little lying on your back watching the clouds go by on a clear summer's day!

We offer something for everyone:

For businesses of all sizes, conference planners, and event planners we offer Corporate Team Building, our tried and true signature offerings and custom events.

For youth ages 8 to 17, we offer Awesome Adventures®, Trailmark Expeditions and Dirt Camp summer travel adventure camps that let kids do it all! Now offered in Connecticut, Massachusettes, the Adirondacks, the Maine Coast, Vermont, Colorado, Utah, and the Tetons.

For schools, elementary to college-level, we offer School Outdoors, graduated outdoor experiential education programming.

The experiential reward is a rich blend of camaraderie and provocative action that builds new insights, high energy, and fun while getting out of the office, school or home.

With a sense of pride and appreciation, our view of the future is to seize the opportunity we have to discover and share the joy of being active and curious in the great outdoors.

Since 1980, Trailmark Expeditions has been leading multi-week wilderness trips all over the Country for ages 11-17 years old.
